Scammers usually seem to embrace the principle of "Keep It Simple, Stupid", possibly because a lot of them are. But sometimes they'll go to the opposite extreme, as with today's offering.
The scammer's emails are date-stamped; his name has been changed. My comments are in bold.
Here's the opening script. I've marked some questionable assumptions in red.

What really motivated me to inform you about this transaction is because the family is capable to handle the cost of the expenses both in South Africa and Toronto Canada, in which they have already paid the sum of "One Hundred and Sixty Thousand United State of American Dollar only" (US$160,000.00) to the South African company already, but they couldn't get any trusted one who will travel to South Africa to pick up the Activate Solution materials and deliver to Toronto now due to VISA problem and fear of covid 19 Pandemic problem around the world today, because since the international community started restriction on covid-19 and fighting war against terrorism the Canadian government and South African government has restricted their VISA especially we the West African citizens, based on the above reasons the family decided to contacted me to assist them because i earlier made them to understand that i have a Canadian businessman who happen to be my business associate, in which I've checked Canadian citizen are visa free to South Africa and Canada, which i believed you can easily travel from Canada to South Africa and pick up the materials and deliver to Toronto Canada, because as an European citizen you have every immunity right that permit you travel to South Africa and pick up the Activate Solution Materials at same time deliver right into Canada, also Canada your country is VISA free to South Africa and Toronto.
Meanwhile I stated my Terms and Condition to the family as Follow:-
1. You need to get yourself ready and come down to South Africa, because the family has agreed to arrange round trip flight tickets and hotel accommodation for you both in South Africa and Canada, upon your arrival in South Africa the manufacturing company representative will bring you the sum of $500 to enable you handle your hotel accommodation and feeding, within 5 working days the delivery agent will deliver the cleaning materials together with another sum of $500 in which you will receive in South Africa as your Basic Traveling Allowances (BTA) before your departure to Canada, also upon your arrival in Canada before you hand over the cleaning materials to the cleaning company representative in Canada another sum of $1000 will be giving to you to enable you wait until the cleaning process completed within 48hours.
2. Within 48 hours in which you deliver the cleaning materials to the Canadian cleaning company, the cleaning process will be fully completed in which the cleaning company will move the entire fund into one of top Canadian or European bank to enable you represent the family over there in Canada as their family representative to open two (2) online foreign bank account as they are non-resident in Canada, at the same time you will apply for Master Credit Card so that the family can always access their fund anywhere in the world through ATM..
3. The family has agreed to compensate both of us with 20% of Fifty Million United States of American dollars only ($50,000,000.00), meaning our share will be US$10,000,000.00 in which we share 50/50 (US$5. Million) each.
