Trunk boxes full of money aren’t always found in security firms, and they’re not always the property of orphaned “boys” between 19 and 42 years of age.
In this case, the boxes were in the hands of someone who didn’t have a clue, and who had the misfortune to encounter Captain Mal.
The scammer’s emails are date-stamped; his name has been changed. My comments are in bold.

So I know the content and where it is coming from.

If it will be possible for you to settle the tariff now to avoid it being one of those that the customs will be looking at, that will be better, once the fees are settled, we can be assured that till mid-January there will be no problem. As it is now a lot of things are going on, even as an inspection officer, there is little I can do to stop the custom officials from doing their work. The only solution is to settle the tariff to enable us remove it from the customs list. Once it is out of their list, I can stand and secure it till you are through from your contract in Australia.

I work here as an inspection officer, once the fees are settled everything will be out of the eyes of the customers which is the most important thing, it will not leave any trail rather it will secure the luggage more. I know how to keep the luggage till mid- January as you said. My advice will be that you send it and I will secure the boxes. The customs will only ask question once there is no action on the boxes. Once we settle the tariff, there will be no fear of confiscating luggage.

Should I because I want to win you to my side and not tell you what will be beneficial to both of us, if I win you to my side and we lose the principal thing, of what use will that be to us, if I avoid telling you the truth and at the end there is nothing to claim even if we meet, our meeting then will be of no use to us. I informed you that as an inspection officer, after close examination, i discovered what the content are, if you want to go ahead and handle it with me, come on and forget about how i discovered the content, what you know is what you will understand, i work here and i know the in and out of any luggage in our storage facility warehouse, what you should consign yourself is how to secure the luggage so that it will be out of the preying eyes of the customs. Let us do the needful and the luggage will be ours.

What you called a reasonable suggestion is tantamount to one shooting himself in the leg, there is supposed to be a mutual trust and respect, in its place there is misgivings and mistrust, about insult the picture you painted about is bigger than any other thing you will put in prints.
