Pre-Emptive Strike: Steven J Townsend

This scammer is pretending to be Steven J Townsend, who is an actual general in the US Army.

He sent a friend request as per usual. He had only one friend and it was a middle-age widow. After accepting his friend request, I sent the widow a warning about the fake general and advising her that he is a romance scammer.

I gave her a lot of details as to what romance scammers do and I hope she heeds my warning.

I sent the following message to the scammer without waiting for him to strike up a conversation, then reported him and blocked him:

ME: I know you are a lowlife useless good for nothing Nigerian scammer. You saw a picture of a middle-age white woman, and you thought you could steal money from me.

I know you poor and hungry and never left the gates of your village.

Hunger can cause madness and madness can cause you to run in front of traffic like you have mad cow disease because you don’t know any better.

Use the money wisely and don’t spend it on ashawo or action bitters. Spend it on garri, ground nuts, jollof rice and pepper soup and feed your family well.
