Scammer reality is a funny old world.
One example of its weirdness is the role of diplomats. Now you and I may have some quaint idea about diplomats being “persons who officially represents a country's interests in a foreign country” (Cambridge Dictionary) or “a person appointed by a state, intergovernmental, or nongovernmental institution to conduct diplomacy with one or more other states or international organizations” (Wikipedia), and consequently have the privilege of diplomatic immunity. That’s not the case in scammer reality, where a diplomat is simply someone who carries parcels.
The scammer’s emails are date-stamped; his name has been changed. My comments are in bold.
Personally addressed to Captain Mal and not Dear Sir/Ma! I should feel honoured!
