Have you gotten a wrong number text where they just kept talking and it leads to a scam of some sort? That’s what happened here. Maggie from Florida by way of South Korea messaged me out of the blue innocently enough, but wanted to take the chat to WhatsApp. You know where we’re going here. Maggie talks to everyone’s favorite madam, Madam Fiona. Wrong Number Turns To Crypto Scam: imgur.com/a/xlXgA6H

Fun read. Excellent bait. I had one of these scammers once, they had a website to appear legit. Funny thing is the building address they listed didn't match the picture of the building they supposedly worked from. They took images of a CRA (Canada Revenue Agency). I had fun them getting FURIOUS at me when I "mailed" my money to them at the address listed on their website. They didn't seem to like that too well. Also how I found out that they don't understand how the US mail works. They think you can go to the post office day or two later and tell them to not deliver a letter you gave them previously.

@kentucky Fried Scambaits, your story resonates with me.
A few times I've had the chance to tell scammers that I sent cheques or gift cards by mail to the addresses on their letterheads that were most definitely not in their actual locations... and on some of those occasions yes, I have been told to go to the post office and retrieve the letter.
Worse still, I was asked for the tracking number more than once. One scammer even said outright that he couldn't receive a letter without a tracking number, and lost his temper when I told him he was wrong.
