Quoting of Posts. Unnecessary use of this facility can clutter up Threads and make them less enjoyable to read. Please, don't quote Posts unless it is far above in the Thread and then just quote the few words that you are replying to/commenting on. If the Post you wish to quote is directly above, just precede your Post with ^^^
DOUBLE or MULTI-POSTING
Posting to a thread more than once in succession within 12 hours is not permitted. “In succession” means without others posting in between your posts, resulting in more than one post from you in a row, and within a short period of time.
If you wish to post in response to more than one quoted post you may do so, but those responses should still be in a single post.
If you wish to post again to a thread that you are the last poster for within 12 hours of your last post to it then you may use the Edit Post function of your last post to add to it.
The rare exception to this rule is an ongoing bait that has no posters after your last post. If you are adding an important update that requires the thread to notify that a "new post" has been added, you may do so.
E.g., I have a scammer on safari, he's landed at an airport and I want to post that update, so I do. 15 minutes later, he takes a picture to show himself outside the airport. I could edit my previous post OR I can make a new post to let readers know something has been added because it's important. 30 minutes later, the scammer emails, calls, or texts that he is lost. I can edit my previous post. One hour later, the scammer shows up in front of a webcam and I would make a new post letting the readers know what is going on.
What we don't want is "scammer lands at airport", a new post of "scammer has not called or emailed", new post "still has not called or emailed", new post "I don't know where he is".
Staff maintains final say.
